Mummy make-over is one of the most popular combined plastic surgical procedures, designed specifically to address common issues faced by women who have been through pregnancy and Breas-tfeeding. It has no set components; each procedure is tailored to fit the individual patient's unique needs.
As the Breas-ts and abdomen are the primary areas of change with motherhood, a mummy make-over will usually centre around a Breas-t and abdomen procedure, thereafter adding additional procedures as needed. During pregnancy and Breas-t-feeding, the Breas-ts enlarge, increasing as much as a full cup size or more. However, returning back to the pre-pregnancy status usually suggests a significant loss in Breas-t volume and noticeable sagging. Throughout a pregnancy, the abdominal muscles, skin and tissues stretch to accommodate the growing baby. Unfortunately, after childbirth, these layers may not bounce back to their taut, pre-baby shape.
Mummy make-over may include Breas-t augmentation, Breas-t lift or mastopexy, Breas-t reduction, tummy tuck or abdominoplasty, belt lipectomy and liposuction, and other ancillary procedures such as hair transplant, facelift, fat grafting, brachioplasty, thigh lift and Brazilian Buttlift, to name a few.
Depending on the individual surgeon and the recommended set of procedures, a mummy make-over can be performed during one single operation, or for safety reasons, may be spread out over multiple surgical sessions.
