Facelift Surgery In Delhi

Facelift, or Rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure for the aging face, that lifts and tightens facial soft tissues. A facelift not only removes excess skin, it also smoothens out folds and wrinkles, and tightens underlying facial tissue. It does not include a browlift, forehead lift or eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty, but these can be done at the same time, along with fat grafting for facial rejuvenation.

The minimal access surgery with smaller incision is likely to last for 8-10 years, and the full face and neck lift procedure may last for upto 12-15 years. But factors like smoking, sun exposure, skin care and skin type greatly affect the longevity of facelift surgery.

Smoking should stop at least 2-3 weeks before any cosmetic surgery, especially a facelift surgery, and should not start before 2-3 weeks after the surgery. Smoking reduces the blood supply to tissues and therefore retards wound healing.

Facelift scars are hidden in the hairline, in the folds behind the ears or under the jawline, so they are not noticeable.

After a facelift, the swelling and the bruising are likely to start subsiding by 7-10 days and gradually subsides over the next few weeks. Light activities and office can be resumed about a week to 10 days after your surgery.
