Surgery Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Langersculpt Clinic, every scheduled surgery involves advance planning and coordination between the surgeon, anaesthetist, clinical team, operating facility, hospital/day-care services and other resources required specifically for your procedure.

To ensure smooth scheduling and fairness to all patients, the following Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all surgical procedures.

Cancellation More Than 72 Hours Before Surgery

If you wish to cancel or reschedule your surgery, please inform the clinic more than 72 hours before the scheduled procedure.

  • Eligible payments may be refunded or adjusted towards a rescheduled surgery.
  • Any expenses already incurred specifically for the patient, including investigations, consultations, customized items or third-party charges, may be deducted.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed after adjustment of non-recoverable expenses.

Cancellation Between 48–72 Hours Before Surgery

For cancellations or rescheduling requests received between 48 and 72 hours before surgery:

  • The surgery booking amount may be partially refundable.
  • Charges already committed towards the operating facility, anaesthetist, medical team, hospitalization arrangements, pressure garments, consumables or other procedure-specific requirements may be deducted.
  • The remaining eligible amount, if any, may be refunded or adjusted towards rescheduling at the clinic’s discretion.

Cancellation Within 24–48 Hours of Surgery

For cancellations or rescheduling requested within 24 to 48 hours of the scheduled surgery:

  • The surgery booking/advance amount will generally be non-refundable.
  • This is because significant resources and professional services have already been reserved or arranged specifically for the patient.
  • Rescheduling may be considered depending on the circumstances and availability, subject to applicable rescheduling charges.

Cancellation Within 24 Hours / Same-Day Cancellation

Cancellations made within 24 hours of surgery, including cancellation on the day of surgery, will be treated as a late cancellation.

The booking/advance amount will be non-refundable, and charges already incurred or committed towards the procedure may also be applicable.

This includes cases where surgery cannot proceed because the patient:

  • Has not followed the prescribed fasting instructions
  • Has consumed food, water or other liquids contrary to medical instructions
  • Has not followed pre-operative medication instructions
  • Fails to disclose relevant medical information
  • Does not complete mandatory investigations or clearances
  • Arrives significantly late or does not report for the scheduled surgery
  • Does not follow other pre-operative instructions communicated by the surgical team

Important: Fasting Before Surgery

For procedures requiring anaesthesia or sedation, patients must strictly follow the fasting instructions provided by the anaesthetist or surgical team.
Eating or drinking during the instructed fasting period may make it medically unsafe to proceed with anaesthesia.

If surgery has to be cancelled or postponed because fasting instructions were not followed, it will be considered a patient-related same-day cancellation. Costs already incurred for the anaesthetist, facility/hospital arrangements, pressure garments, medical team, consumables and other preparations may be non-refundable.

Patient safety will always take priority over proceeding with a scheduled surgery.

Cancellation by Langersculpt Clinic

In rare circumstances, the surgeon or clinic may need to postpone or cancel a procedure because of:

  • A medical or safety concern
  • Anaesthesia-related concerns
  • Unexpected health findings
  • Surgeon/medical team emergency
  • Facility or equipment-related circumstances
  • Any other situation where proceeding may compromise patient safety

Where the cancellation originates from the clinic and is not due to the patient’s failure to follow medical or pre-operative instructions, the patient will be offered rescheduling at the earliest mutually suitable date.

Any eligible refund or adjustment will be determined based on the circumstances and expenses already incurred.

Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved:

  • Refunds will be made after deduction of applicable and non-recoverable charges.
  • Refunds will generally be processed to the original payment method.
  • Bank/payment gateway charges, where applicable, may not be refundable.
  • Processing timelines may vary depending on the payment method and banking institution.

Rescheduling

All requests for rescheduling should preferably be made at least 72 hours before surgery.
Repeated rescheduling or last-minute changes may require a fresh booking amount and will be subject to surgeon, anaesthetist and facility availability.
